Wedding Approaching

Our wedding is approaching very fast. It is now just 5 days away! I was talking to one of my friends at church yesterday, and he told me that he don’t know if the week that he got married was the shortest week of his life or the longest. I totally feel what he means! It is coming so quickly and so slowly at the same time. Strange!

It feel kinda strange that come November 27th I will not longer be a boyfriend/fiancé. I will be a husband. I can already start to feel a difference that is indescribable. I cannot imagine how much differently it will feel after we say, “I do.” Optimistically, I look forward to my new life with Lauren Paige Fitton. I am excited that the waiting will be over.

I trust that God will be with us in our marriage. He will be our provider, strength, encouragement, light in the darkness, healer, deliverer, sactifier, sheild, rock, and our fortress! We willl trust Him, and He will provide our every need.

Life is short. Life is precious.

Life is short. Life is precious. It all depends on what you make of it.

Today, my fiancée lost her paternal grandfather. This makes the third grandparent that she has lost in a years time. What keeps her going is knowing that they are in a better place where pain and suffering has no place.

If you have Jesus in your life then you do not have a reason to fear death, because when you have Jesus and you die, it is only a physical death; in Jesus, you can have eternal life. Dying with out Jesus means that you die a physical death but also a spiritual death.

But please pray for the Fitton family. Pray that God will comfort their hearts and help them through this time. Prayer is such a powerful tool that we have. Let’s trust that God will send peace to the family.

Life is short. Life is precious. What are you doing with your life?

Give Thanks With a Greatful Heart

As you may know, it is getting close to Thanksgiving Day.  What are you thankful for?  I am thankful for Jesus dying to save me, for a God that love me enough to send His only begotten Son, Jesus raising from the Dead, the comfort that the Holy Spirit gives, my fiancee, my family, my church, my pastor, a healthy strong immune system, the privilege to have a variety of food to eat, potable water (clean drinking water), life itself, salvation, my grandparents that took me to church when I was young, the blessing of an automobile that runs, a job, ability to go to college, the blessing of having a copy of God’s Word to study and to live by, people that are pro-life and support the right to life for babies in the womb, my friends, the talents that the Lord has given me, to live in a free country, … and the list goes on and on.

Give thanks with a grateful heart
Give thanks to the Holy One
Give Thanks because He has given
Jesus Christ His son

And now let the weak say I am strong
Let the poor say I am rich
Because of what the Lord
Has done for us.

Give Thanks.

Lord, thank you for all of the blessings that you give me in Life.  I pray that I will use them for your honor and glory.  Let me not use them for my own selfish desires, but let others see Jesus in me.  Let them see Jesus in what I say, how I say it, where I go, and in what I do.  Let my life be a living sacrifice for you.  Lord I pray not my will but Yours be done.  Lord, give me the strength and the courage to live life in surrender to You and to share the Gospel will others.  Teach me Your Word and Your ways.  Teach me to love like You love.  Teach me to live as Jesus did.  Help me to be the hands and feet of Jesus so that I may serve others as He did.  Let me focus on Heavenly wealth and not earthly wealth.  Bless me O’ God and direct my steps.  Lead me on the path to Righteousness.  Expose unto me areas of my life that are not pleasing to You.  And Lord, be patient with my doubts.  Help me to trust You more each day.  You know that I am only a mere mortal, and that I am not perfect.  Your love for me is unconditional.  Help me to become more and more perfect each day.  Lord, You alone are my comfort, my strength, and my song.  I desire to be with You.  I trust You to be with me in the light as well as in the darkness.  Lord, help me to be a light for others.  Make me into the willing vessel that You would have me to be. I ask this in You blessed Son’s name, Jesus Christ ~Amen

We have so many things to be thankful for everyday.  Do not forget that.

What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving season?

Happy Thanksgiving to all.  God Bless!
