To Save A Life is an indie movie about the real-life challenges of teens and the choices they face.
Ever since Jake Taylor was a kid, he was the type of guy you couldn’t help but like. For Jake, life is good. He has a ton of friends, a basketball scholarship, a hot girlfriend and a really bright future. Not much to get down about, right?
Enter Roger Dawson. He was Jake’s childhood best friend before Jake’s growing popularity pushed him out. Tired of not fitting in and having a place to belong, Roger walks onto campus and, with a gun in his pocket and pain in his heart, makes a tragic move.
Jake is devastated by what Roger has done, and something in him changes. In seeking answers in his own life, one question plagues him the most: Could I have saved him? He finds himself deeply compelled to reach out to kids on the fringe – kids who aren’t viewed as cool enough. But this decision among other things, threatens Jake’s world. He may lose his friends, his scholarship and even his reputation by asking “What do I want my life to be about?”

I went to the Badin drive-in last night with some friends. We had a good time watching Alvin and the Chipmunks. It was the sequal to the first chipmunk movie. It was a good funny movie; one worth watching. After that movie was done, the second movie came on. It was called The Princess and the Frog; it is a 2D G-rated Disney annimated movie. Sounds innocent huh? Do not be so quick to judge…
The name of the movie may sound innocent, but it does not tell the unexpecting parent that it will expose their child to demonic spiritual elements such as VooDoo, spells, messing with snakes, and tarot card reading. If your child-or a child you know-is wanting to see this movie, please check out what elements are contained it it first. I am not going to tell you what to do; I am only telling you this to warn you before you blindly let your child watch it. Regardless of what positive elements that are in the movie, demonic spiritaul content should not be overlooked. Please take a few minutes and veiw the full movie review on plugged-in.

Just got home from a great night spent with the wife-to-be. It was great to have time to spend with my awesome fiancée. We don’t get enough “just you and me time”. We started the great night by eating at Tailgators. Then we went to the mall to pick up some Starbucks. After we got our drinks, we went to go see the movie–Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs–in 3D! It was a great movie to laugh at. The best part was watching it in 3 deminsions. The movie had an awesome message to it–be yourself no matter what other people think of you. That concept is what we all need to be focused on. Instead of trying to be something that other people want us to be, we should be the man/woman/boy/girl that God made us to be. Just be yourself. Life is much harder trying to be someone you are not.
Just remeber that you are “fearfully and wonderfully made” [Psalms 139:14].
