Paige and I are happy to welcome this handsome fella, Sheldon Cooper, into our Smith home because he brings a lot of joy and love. (Sheldon Cooper is the name we have chosen to call him, and believe me… It fits!… Ba-zinga!) Sheldon is smart and is working hard on all that he learned through the New Leash On Life program that is a partnership with the Humane Society and the Department of Correction. Sheldon finished his Continue reading Meet Sheldon Cooper Smith
What is Easter?
Easter is my favorite time of the year. It is a time to reflect on the sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross. He died for you and for me. It is by His death that we can freely receive the gift of Salvation. Salvation is like ticket to Heaven. You do not have call TicketMaster to order your ticket. All you have to do is pray and ask God for Salvation and confess that Jesus is His son. Pray? Prayer is conversation between you and God–just like you have a conversation with a friend. Yes, is that easy. When you ask God for Salvation, your name is added to Continue reading Easter 2014: Time to Reflect and Spend With Family
My third niece was born to Matthew and Holly Knotts on July 2, 2013 at 3:17pm. She weighed 7 lbs and 9 oz. She was 20.75 in. long. I am excited about getting to spoil her just like I do Lilly and Emma!
On June 10, 2011, my sister Kayce Nicole Smith graduated from West Stanly High School. I am proud of her for making this big accomplishment! In addition to passing her classes, Kayce had to complete a senior project. For her project, she wrote a childrens book. The quote below is an article by the Stanly News and Press.
WSHS Senior Kayce Smith studied planet Earth and created a children’s book about it. “I’’ve always been really interested in science,” Smith said. “I decided to write a children’s book because I enjoy working with kids.” Smith read her book to children as part of her project.
Kayce, I love you. You are a great sister.
This semester has been full of design projects, homework, quizzes, and tests. Trying to manage a work/school/life balance is not an easy task, but God has been with me every step of the way though (He always is).
Easter is coming up this weekend! I cannot wait… Easter is the most important holiday we celebrate because it is about our Savior Jesus Christ and the atonement that He paid for our sins so that through Him we can have eternal life and not suffer the death that we deserve. Come join us on Easter Sunday at Harvest Church in Albemarle. Check out the Facebook event page. Easter is a great time to reflect on God’s grace and mercy and to spend time with family!
Also there are two other big events that I am looking forward to: April 30th, I will be helping out at the Kerri D Efird Memorial Scholarship Bike Run. And on May 7th is Stella Day at the Locust Town Center.
Have a blessed Easter!
The Grace Card is an amazing movie that proves that forgiveness is where the healing truly begins. Go see this movie, and it will teach you a lot about the situations that we face in life!
I promise to pray for you every day, ask your forgiveness, grant you the same, and be your friend always.
