As we ring in the new year, lets not forget the work that God has called us to. Lets not get caught up in our own desires like the people in Haggai chapter 1. They started building the temple but soon went to building their own houses.
In 2010, lets start off right doing Gods work, but like keep at it! Do not give up! If you are faithful, God will keep is promises. God will not ever leave you nor forsake you; do not forsake God. Stay true to your first love. We do not want Jesus to say to us what He said to the church of Ephesus: “Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love.” -Revelation 2:4
1 In the second year of King Darius, in the sixth month, on the first day of the month, the word of the LORD came by Haggai the prophet to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, saying, 2 “Thus speaks the LORD of hosts, saying: ‘This people says, “The time has not come, the time that the LORD’s house should be built.”’” 3 Then the word of the LORD came by Haggai the prophet, saying, 4 “Is it time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses, and this temple[a]to lie in ruins?” 5 Now therefore, thus says the LORD of hosts: “Consider your ways! 6 “ You have sown much, and bring in little;
You eat, but do not have enough;
You drink, but you are not filled with drink;
You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm;
And he who earns wages,
Earns wages to put into a bag with holes.”
7 Thus says the LORD of hosts: “Consider your ways! 8 Go up to the mountains and bring wood and build the temple, that I may take pleasure in it and be glorified,” says the LORD. 9 “You looked for much, but indeed it came to little; and when you brought it home, I blew it away. Why?” says the LORD of hosts. “Because of My house that is in ruins, while every one of you runs to his own house. 10 Therefore the heavens above you withhold the dew, and the earth withholds its fruit. 11 For I called for a drought on the land and the mountains, on the grain and the new wine and the oil, on whatever the ground brings forth, on men and livestock, and on all the labor of your hands.”
I pray that you all will have a safe and blessed New Year. God bless you all!
I went to the Badin drive-in last night with some friends. We had a good time watching Alvin and the Chipmunks. It was the sequal to the first chipmunk movie. It was a good funny movie; one worth watching. After that movie was done, the second movie came on. It was called The Princess and the Frog; it is a 2D G-rated Disney annimated movie. Sounds innocent huh? Do not be so quick to judge…
The name of the movie may sound innocent, but it does not tell the unexpecting parent that it will expose their child to demonic spiritual elements such as VooDoo, spells, messing with snakes, and tarot card reading. If your child-or a child you know-is wanting to see this movie, please check out what elements are contained it it first. I am not going to tell you what to do; I am only telling you this to warn you before you blindly let your child watch it. Regardless of what positive elements that are in the movie, demonic spiritaul content should not be overlooked. Please take a few minutes and veiw the full movie review on plugged-in.

It is do amazing how fast our world is advancing in technology!
Did You Know 3.0 – 2008:
Did You Know 4.0 – 2009:
In a world that is advancing so quickly, it is hard to tell what we should/should not believe. But one thing that we can be sure of is that God is on His throne! God is not just some distant/non-existent being; He is very real, and He is as close as you let Him be. If you want Him to be some distant God that does not aid your day-to-day life, then just walk away from Him. But, if you want Him to be you very help in time of need, your source of strength, your healer, your deliver, your friend, … your everything … just come unto Him. It is YOUR choice. For Jesus said, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. [Matthew 11:28]”
As our world quickly advances, the time for Jesus’ return draws nearer. Jesus told us in Revelation 22:12-13, “Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.” Christ is coming to gather those that have surrenderd their lives to Him. He will give unto those the gift of eternal life and a new home on high in Heaven. O’ Lord how I want to be in that number! Those that believe in Christ Jesus will be rewarded for the works they have done.
Jesus is the only way into Heaven; there is no other way. “I [Jesus] am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. [John 14:6]“
I saw this quote on a t-shirt a while back and fell in love with it because it grabbed my soul:
Why do you allow so much violence in our schools?
a concerned student.
Dear Concerned Student,
I’m not allowed in schools.
This shirt speaks the truth. America has taken God out of almost everything today. They have taken Him out of our schools and government buildings. And now they are trying to take Him out of the pledge of allegiance. They have EVEN taken God out of most of our churches today.
Do we as a nation no longer fear God? The Bible says to not be for God is to be against Him. What will it take to turn the tides?
When will we stop running the world and let God do it? Come on, He created it; do you not think He can run it the right way?
This is from an email that I received from Stand True.
… WI Planned Parenthood abortion clinic, Wisconsin State Senator Glenn Grothman called on authorities to investigate and declared that state legislators should “make sure Planned Parenthood doesn’t mislead young girls like this in the future.”
In the video, both the abortion doctor and counselor repeatedly insist to a reportedly 10-week-pregnant woman that the unborn child “is not a baby” and offer several contradicting definitions of “embryo” and “fetus.” The counselor claims that the fetus’s heart does not start beating until “about seventeen or eighteen weeks.” Later the abortion doctor, Dr. Prohaska, tells the woman, “you don’t want to wait” to get an abortion and warns her, “women die having babies.”
I received this email the other day from Bound4Life. Let’s pray together that God will move and not let this clinic operate!
The second largest abortion clinic in the world is being built at this present moment in Houston, Texas. This six-story Planned Parenthood abortion “Super Center” is right in the middle of four (4) minority neighborhoods. Three average to 85% Latino in population and the other is 85% Black American. Planned Parenthood is targeting these minority pro-family communities, both for their finances and the restriction of their populations. But, there is a voice rising out of Houston and out of Texas, declaring, “We don’t want this in our neighborhoods!”
On Martin Luther King Jr.’s holiday, January 18th, 2010, thousands are gathering to march against this Goliath to pray, fast, and peacefully siege this massive injustice in the spirit of that great liberator Martin Luther King Jr. This is a great hour for the Hispanic pro-LIFE people, Catholic and Evangelical, to raise their voices against abortion and for adoption. Public opinion over abortion is shifting radically in America to pro-LIFE at the same time this facility is exalting itself above the humble and oppressed.
We are entering into the 37th anniversary of the “Roe V. Wade” abortion decree of 1973 on January 22, 2010. We are in a ’73/’37 window to reverse that decree. It started in Texas, now let it begin to reverse there. We are calling for the pro-LIFE people of Houston, Texas, and America to gather Sunday night, January 17th, 2010 for four hours of prayer for spiritual awakening and justice, from 6:00pm to 10:00pm at Grace Community Church. On this evening, 1/17, we will be unifying with one voice before God to pray for the Luke 1:17 answer to the killing of our babies and the wounding of our women – “And he will also go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children and the rebellious to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”
On January 18th, at 9:00am on Martin Luther King Jr.’s holiday, we will gather by the thousands to launch a silent prayer march through the streets to the abortion “Super Center” for a nationwide press conference and prayer stand. As Martin Luther King Jr. would proclaim it – It is time to “subpoena the conscience” of the nation from the flashpoint of Houston, TX.

Maybe Houston could become the Birmingham of our day to let the unborn go free and spare the pregnant mother the agony of guilt. Maybe out of Houston a great demonstration of compassion could be launched through pregnant mother care with a mass movement of adoption. Martin Luther King Jr. cried, “I have a dream.” Alveda King, the niece of Martin Luther King Jr., has eloquently stated, “How can the dream live as long as we kill our children?” God has a dream. He has a dream for America and He has a dream for every mother and every child and a six-story massive abortion facility has never been a part of that dream. Let’s end the nightmare and let the dream live.
Tonight my fiancée and I went to the Salvation Army (SA) in Charlotte with one of my coworkers and people from his church. It was such an amazing experience. This Salvation Army alone is giving toys to 13,500 families. So many bags full of toys and over 1,000 bikes! Families have been adopted from the SA Angel Tree. Businesses, scout troops, churches, and individuals pick up an Angel from the tree and the buy gifts for the children. This ministry does such a great job at showing the love of God. It was an honor and a blessing to go to the SA warehouse to help out and to know that I am impacting people’s lives through volunteering for the Salvation Army.
I was kind of bummed out earlier this semester when I found out that I had physics final exam on a Saturday morning. And if that was not enough, that particular Saturday also turned out to be the same Saturday that the youth from my church was going to the Samaritain’s Purse Operation Christmas Child warehouse to inspect, sort, and box the shoeboxes that were donated; something I look forward to from year to year.
I will not be able to help do shoeboxes at OCC, but I did get to help at ministry that also provides gifts to children at Christmas time.
God always has was of blessing us. It may not be in the way that we expect it, but He will not fail us. I was hoping to go to OCC this year, but God wanted me somewhere else. He always knows what is best for us; not matter if we realize it right away or after the fact.
