About Me

I am Matthew Smith. I was born and raised in North Carolina. I currently reside in Stanly County with my lovely wife. I was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church for many years where I taught Sunday school, sung in the choir, and ran the sound board.  Currently, my wife and I are members of Harvest Church in Albemarle.  We are so excited about serving the Lord as we assist with leading youth on a weekly basis!  At Harvest Church, I also help with audio, video, and lights.

I began my college career at Stanly Community College in Fall 2006. I attended SCC for 4 semesters. In Fall 2008, I decided to transfer my credits to another college to further my education. Currently, I am an Electrical Engineering major at UNC Charlotte.

I enjoy working with computers and electronics. I have been fascinated with technology ever since I was a child. I have repaired many computers, and I manage a home network. In high school and college, I have taken many classes in the technology field. After I graduate form UNCC, my dream is to start a career at a major engineering firm.

I am married to Paige Fitton Smith. We dated from July 19, 2003 until we got married on November 27, 2010.  Check out our website MatthewAndPaige.com.  Now, I enjoy being a husband so a beautiful and loving wife.

As a member of the Boy Scouts of America, I proudly achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.  I was also a member of the Order of the Arrow (OA).

"I can do all things through Christ
who strengthens me." -Philippians 4:13
---------------------
"You must take the view that instead of following your heart, you are choosing to lead it. The world says to follow your heart, but if you are not leading it, then someone or something else is. The Bible says that 'the heart is deceitful above all things,' and it will pursue that which feels right at the moment. We dare you to think differently, and to choose to lead your heart toward that which is best in the long run. This is a key to lasting, fulfilling relationships." - Fireproof
